Objective:

Inspect, report and tender necessary fire damage remedial works

 

Outcome:

Following an extensive fire, AMC were instructed by the loss adjuster on behalf of the insurer, to inspect and assess the extent of the damage caused, as well as identify what works were needed to rectify the property.

Our inspection established extensive damage and remedial works being needed, externally, internally as well as to the existing service installations.

Following our report, AMC were instructed to provide contract administration services which included preparing a specification of fire damage remedial works and tendering the work to establish costs. We undertook tendering in the shortest period of time to allow earliest occupation. Following this and our tender reconciliation report analysing the tender costs received and provided our recommendations.

by using our report and managing the project works, the loss adjuster and the building owner were then able to conclude and agree a settlement to cover the costs of reinstatement works.
